Jesus Came to My House One Day

Jesus Came to My House One Day (Evg. Rick J. Musick 3-17-11)

I had a dream the other night,
The dream gave me great insight.
It woke me up, I had to pray.

In the dream Jesus came to my house one day,
I was to ashamed to ask Him to stay.
The place was a mess- trash all around.

When Jesus walked in, it was the look on His face,
I felt ashamed - in total disgrace,
My house should be a holy place.

I know Jesus saw the books on the shelf,
I swallowed hard when He saw the movies too.
Why did I buy that magazine?

Jesus looked at me with sadness in His eyes,
He stared at me as if wondering why?
Why would I need such carnal, worldly things?

He walked towards the door,
I opened it fast!
Jesus was leaving my house at last.

Before He walked out,
He turned and said:
“None of those things will bring joy that last.”

“One more thing before I go,
You once knew me through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Now tell me, who do you love the most?”

I shut the door,
My knees hit the floor,
I cried, “Please Jesus come back through my door!”

I lifted my hands,
I worshiped the Lord,
I felt my spirit begin to soar!

I prayed through,
To victory anew,
I knew then what I must do.

I grabbed a trash can
then I began,
I refuse to live like a backslidden man!

I cleaned up my house that day,
Jesus knocked on my door,
I invited Him in this time, to stay!

God Can Hear Your Teardrops Fall

God Can Hear Your Teardrops Fall

It was one of my times in life,
When nothing seemed to be going right.
My heart was filled with heartache and strife.
I had spent some days in a cloud of despair,
Wondering why life seemed so unfair.

I stared into the emptiness,
of a dark lonely room.
Tears began to fall.

That is when His sweet Holy Spirit came,
He spoke to me, as if I heard my name.
Not a thunderous roar, nothing shook the floor.
More like a whisper,
soft, deliberate, and slow.
He said to me,
in my heart ‘I know’
“I can hear your tear drops fall.”

A God that close!
The Lord of host!
Would get that close to me?
So close He can hear my tear drops fall?

Then the tears really came,
I let them fall upon the ground
Freely giving Him my all,

my burdens, my strife,
All the hurt that was in my life.

Tears of sorrow changed in me,
to tears of thankfulness.
To know my savior understands,
To thank Him for His faithfulness.

So when life is tough,
And you’re in a season of dreadful doubt.
When sorrow seems to break about
Remember this as you sit alone.
The ‘Great I Am’ upon His throne,
Will bend an ear towards you!
Casting all your cares on Him,
Let your burdens fall,
Let those tears change in you,
For God can hear your teardrops too!

Yesterdays

Yesterdays

by Rick Joe Musick on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 3:07am

Yesterdays- I am so glad that we do not have to relive our yesterdays,
I am thankful that today we can start anew.
We have today to build a upon,
And tomorrow this day will be gone.

Yesterdays are dead and gone,
Now today has come along.
Perhaps you have gone through the sorrows of yesterdays.

Yesterdays seemed so long,
But now that today has finally arrived,
perhaps today we can be refreshed and revived.

The hope of looking out upon the horizon,
To watch the rising of the morning sun.
To feel the freshness of a cool gentle breeze.
Reminds us that yesterdays are done.

Not that yesterdays were all that bad,
Not that every moment was terribly sad,
But that yesterdays are in the past,
All mistakes buried in time,
Today we start anew.

To watch our words and what we say,
to watch our deeds along the way,
To watch our steps lest we stray,
To take the time to stop and pray,
To do better than we did yesterday.

So friend, forget about yesterdays and what you've done,
Live for today before tomorrow comes.
The Lord knows everything,
He knows all about yesterday,
Everything that you might have done, and
The burdens, the cares, the struggles, the shortcomings, everything that happened yesterday.
Ask Him to help you today, and your today will be better than yesterday.

What Will You Do, When Death Comes For You?

What Will You Do,

When Death Comes For You?

The question I ask you,
Do you have a clue
what you will do,
When that moment comes and death chooses you?

Would you meet death with fear and dread,
Or could you look death in the face instead?
Knowing that death would come knocking one day,
Coming to take your soul away!

Would death come as an uninvited foe,
The one that will take you to the judge of your soul?
Or would death come as an anticipated date,
To take you to that grand eternal state?

What will you do when death comes for you?
Will you celebrate, or will you know it is to late?
To late to change your mind about Him,
The one that could have saved you from sins?

What will you do when death comes for you?
Will you open the door and invite him in,
or will you fight with all your might, until the bitter end?
Will you meet death in victory?

O’ death where is your sting?
O’ grave thy victory?
I stand before you both this day,
Knowing that Christ has conquered you both!

Hell has no place for me,
Because Jesus my savior has pardoned, and set me free!
Death at one time was my enemy sure!
But now washed in Christ blood,
Redeemed I am pure!

Death know that I am ready when you come
I look forward to the journey before me!
Knowing, when I take my last breath here,
fresh breath awaits me over there.
Over there on that beautiful shore,
Eternally loving my savior whom I adore!

Walking Down A One-way Street

Walking Down A One-Way Street

I had a dream one night
I found myself walking down very crowded a one-way street,

I wondered why everyone was staring at me?
Some had ugly faces,

Some of the ladies lost all graces.
Why is everyone angry at me?

All these crazy people making unkind gestures,
What am I doing to cause their spirits to fester?

All I am doing is walking down a one-way street!
I guess I am hindering the raging flow

Of this mass of people running to and fro.
In my anxiousness I want to scream,

“You’re like dead fish floating down stream,!”
Forgive me sir for bumping into you,

But it is not me that’s going the wrong way!
Look at the sign and see what it says.

He looked up and read it, “Dead End Street!”
He shrugged and pushed me away,

“leave me alone, I have bills to pay!”
I looked up towards heaven and prayed anxiously,

“Lord help, what do I do?
The Lord seemed to speak to my heart,

“You do your best son, I have set you apart”
“Look around, you’re not alone!”

I looked behind me and here they came,
I looked ahead and I saw the same!

Their eyes set like flint, faces aglow,
Willing to go against the status quo.

So when you feel you’re in this race all alone,
Remember their are many more Christians that are unbeknown.

Take A Stand!

TAKE A STAND! 3-12-1
Draw a line in the sand-
Take a stand!
Come on man-
Be a man!

No more compromise-
No more falling for the enemies lies!
So you were tempted-

What?
You thought you would be exempted?
So you failed a test?
So now you're going to ‘give up the rest?’

You have walked how many spiritual miles?
have gone through how many trials?
Conquered how many mountains?
Drank from how many ‘living water’ fountains?’

Just to turn around-
Because you’re down?
Come on man-
Be a man!
Draw a line in the sand-
Take a stand!

Compromise is not in the calculation-
Nothing is worth your salvation!

What Did You Come To Do?

What Did You Come To Do?

That’s What I Am Going to Do!

You can sit and pout,
wallow in doubt.
What did you come to do?

You can stew in your shame,
Find someone to blame.
What did you come to do?

You can come and mope,
Loose all hope.
What did you come to do?

You can stare at the floor,
Look for the door.
What did you come to do?

It’s not going to change ‘til
You call on Jesus name!
What are you going to do?

You might as well stand,
Raise both hands!
That’s what I am going to do!

We all have a choice,
I choose to lift my voice!
That’s what I am going to do!

You might as well shout!,
Let it all out!
That’s what I am going to do!

While I have this chance,
Watch me while I dance!
That’s what I am going to do!
