I'm Walking Into My Tomorrow

Walking Into My Tomorrow
(song)

I’m walking into my tomorrow
With my head held high.
I may glance back a time or two
Just to wave goodbye.

Bye to all the heartaches
And the things that caused me pain.
Walking away from all my sorrows
Leaving behind regrets.

I refuse to let them drag me down,
Like a ball and chain.
The grace of God has set me free
From  what I used to be.

Now I’m walking into my tomorrow
With my head held high,
I’m a born again believer
Given a brand new start.

Dark clouds are all behind me,
The future looks so bright,
As I walk into my tomorrow
With my head held high.

Thank you!

This is a rough draft, I woke up this morning and this was on my mind!

Thank you

A friend who had leprosy just like me,
stretched out his hand and asked,
“What do you see“?

To my amazement new skin was where,
leprosy used to be!
He smiled and said, “This is what Jesus
did for me!”

Then he gave this testimony:

I had heard about Jesus,
how he heals the lame,
how the blind now see
and demons flee!

Then I said in my heart,
Perhaps Jesus can heal leprosy?
So I took a bold step,
I stretched out my hand,
I said to the master,
“If you want to Lord, you can heal me!”

Jesus looked at me with love in his eyes,
“I want to son“, then He touched my hand!”
As you can see I am totally free from the curse of leprosy!

I must leave now, I am going home!

I went and told nine of my friends
Who have this curse, just like me.

Then it happened one day,
We were all so sick, depressed, living in misery.
I looked up and my heart skipped a beat,
What was Jesus doing in a village like this?

Hope sprang up when I remembered my friend,
I was the first to cry out,
“Jesus, Master, have mercy on me!”
The ‘me’ became ‘us’ as we all cried out!

Jesus lifted up his voice and gave this command,
“Go show yourself to the priests!”
We knew immediately what that meant.
Jesus had answered our plea!

As we went, we were made whole!
No more stench, no more shame,
No more screaming, “I am unclean.”

As the others hurried on,
I stopped and glanced back,
Jesus just stood there,
As if waiting on me.

I could not contain myself,
My heart was overwhelmed with thankfulness!
I ran back, I fell at His feet,
“Thank you Jesus for saving a stranger like me!”

Is this not a picture of you and I?
Lost and undone. Living a life of sinful misery.
But Jesus came by and touched our hearts.
Forgave our sins and made us anew!

I don’t know about you my friend,
But it seems to me,
The least I could do, Is fall at His feet
And say, “Thank you!”
